Somatic Psychotherapy to Help You Listen to Your Body

Respond Ability offers trauma-informed somatic psychotherapy, psychosocial recovery and Pain Circles to help you understand your body, your emotions and the patterns shaping your life.

About Respond Ability

A small team, big on listening.

Respond Ability is Sharon Muggivan's practice, working alongside trusted allied-health partners, recovery coaches and group facilitators.

Our work brings together trauma-informed psychotherapy, psychosocial recovery, somatic practice and lived collaboration. We support people to feel heard, understood and more connected to themselves — not just managed through a system.

In practice, that means meeting you where you are, working gently with your goals, and creating space for your body, emotions and story to be listened to with care.

More about us
What we do

Support for your mind, body and recovery.

We offer three main ways to work together: somatic psychotherapy, NDIS psychosocial recovery coaching and Pain Circles. Whether you're seeking one-to-one therapeutic support, recovery-focused guidance, or a body-aware group space, we help you choose what meets you where you are.

How it works

Three gentle steps to getting started.

01

Connect

We begin with a friendly conversation about what you're looking for, what feels difficult right now, and what kind of support may feel right.

02

Understand

Together we explore your goals, your experiences and what your body, emotions and current life patterns may be communicating.

03

Support

We work alongside you through therapy, recovery coaching or group work, adjusting the support as your needs and goals change.

Who we support

For people who want to feel heard, not fixed.

Respond Ability may be a good fit if you:

  • Live with psychosocial disability and want recovery-focused NDIS support
  • Feel emotionally overwhelmed, shut down or disconnected
  • Experience ongoing tension, stress, fatigue or body-based discomfort
  • Want to understand the connection between your body, emotions and lived experiences
  • Are looking for trauma-informed psychotherapy or Pain Circles
  • Want support that is gentle, person-led and deeply respectful

You do not need to have the right words before you reach out. We can start exactly where you are.

"Sharon helped me feel safe in my own body again. The somatic work gave me a way to notice what I'm feeling before it overwhelms me."
